The simple truth of the matter is that duplicate files do nothing but waste disk space. You don’t need two copies of the same file wasting disk space, do you? To address this situation, ExtraBit Software came up with a very handy tool: SpaceMan 99. This application will scan the drive or directory you specify and will quickly identify duplicate files. Armed with this information, you can remove the duplicates and thus reclaim disk space.

SpaceMan 99 can be installed on a PC powered by Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. To install the application on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions, you will have to go through a standard installation procedure. This means that you’ll have to download an installer, run it, and then go through the setup instructions presented by a wizard.

The application’s interface is divided into 4 panels:
Upper left – browse and select the drives or folders SpaceMan 99 will scan.
Upper right – the contents of the drive or folder you select.
Lower left – a list of all uncovered duplicates.
Lower right – the locations where a duplicate file is stored.

You can access SpaceMan 99’s functionality from the aforementioned interface (it is a very user friendly interface, I have to say) or from the right click context menu. Since SpaceMan 99 integrates with Windows Explorer, the functionality it has to offer is never more than a right click away.
